MIA, Mujeres en la Industria de la Animación (Women in the Animation Industry) , is an open association -for partners and collaborating partners- and multidisciplinary, born in 2018 driven by a small group of professional women linked to the animation sector.

With their consolidation as an association, they want to break the "glass ceiling" in an industry where 35% of employees are women, according to the Libro Blanco de la Animación presented that same year by DIBOOS. In addition, we also want to guarantee the presence of contents free of stereotypes, increasing the female referents.

With this talk, MIA wants to represent all points of view on the role of women in the industry. For this, it will count with Esther Encabo, Scene Composing Lead at Ilion Animation Studios and Technical Director at Blue & Malone: Impossible Cases, to talk about her experience as a Lead and work on improvement proposals for the visibility and representation of women in more job positions like hers.
