Post-Covid Digital Renewal: Reinventing New Workflows
Mundos Digitales 2022 celebrated its twentieth edition, focusing on the latest trends and technological advancements that are redefining the digital entertainment industry.
The event featured talks from industry experts, including Manuel Ramírez, Head of VFX at El Ranchito, who delivered a presentation on the challenges of visual effects production. Paul Debevec, Director of Research in Creative Algorithms and Technology at Netflix, spoke about the importance of correct lighting in virtual production. The Special Award was presented to Paul Franklin in recognition of his outstanding career in the visual effects industry. Franklin has been instrumental in creating groundbreaking effects in films such as Inception and Interstellar, for which he won two Academy Awards.
The conference also welcomed Joaquín Otazu, Studio Director at Secret 6, who discussed AAA videogame art in Spain and Will Earl, Head of Optimisation at MPC Film, presented Atmos and FX: Volumes in RenderMan.
As always, in addition to the conferences, networking activities and the traditional Recruitment Fair took place, facilitating connections between companies and emerging talent. Another highlight of the event was the International Animation Festival, which showcased a selection of the year’s most innovative and creative productions.
