The director of The Game Kitchen studio tells us about the beginnings of the Blasphemous universe, something that started as a small indie game with no other pretensions than to be minimally profitable, and from which however seems to have emerged a universe of dark fantasy that leaves everyone wanting more.

We will review the humble origins of the team and see how The Game Kitchen has become one of the largest independent videogame studio in national development, to face much bigger challenges without losing the author's essence that has always characterized their creations.

Mauricio is the director and founder of The Game Kitchen studio, where he started as a programmer and eventually produced Blasphemous, one of the most internationally known Spanish indie games, with a sequel released last year.

He currently manages the production of several titles at the studio, and an incubation and publishing project called Billete Cohete, as well as being the President of DEV, (Spanish Association of Video Game and Entertainment Software Producers and Developers).
