Artificial intelligences are transforming the audiovisual industry in ways we are just beginning to understand. In the face of this, essential questions arise: Can an AI really help a professional artist? What role should these technologies play in the visual effects workflow?
In this lecture we will explore a different approach to generative AIs, focusing on how tools that can learn not only simplify repetitive tasks, but extend control, speed and accuracy in the creation of visual effects.
Through practical examples, we will demonstrate how this type of artificial intelligence uses data from shooting images to offer new creative possibilities. We will see specific applications that enhance everything from rotoscoping to the simulation of environmental and fluid effects, facilitating the creation of controls and tools that empower artists, giving them unprecedented freedom.
