In this presentation, Oscar Olarte will explore the state of the art in sound design, 3D audio and music composition for real-time virtual production for feature films and fiction series.

Thus, he will explore important aspects such as why 3D audio ambiences and 3D soundscapes in Virtual Production are a huge cost and time saver in the Dolby Atmos workflow, Raytraced and Pathtraced real-time sound simulation, Foley automation in Virtual Production, Spectral Sound Fields 3D simulations for 3D objects and animations, real time music composition in Virtual Production, the need for MDL (Music Decision List) and the state of the art of AI-generated audio in Virtual Production for Interoperable Productions: feature films, fiction series, videogames...

Co-founder and CEO of MR Factory since 1992, a company dedicated to developing content and virtual production solutions that successfully solve communication, advertising and entertainment needs of its clients, such as Secuoya, Netflix, Amazon...among others.

His work has been recognised as pioneering by numerous developers and manufacturers, including the Visual Effect Society where he helped write the Virtual Production manual, the Spain Film Commission, where he has been collaborator and editor of the White Paper of Virtual Locations, also by companies such as Epic Games, NVIDIA, MO-SYS. BlackMagic, among others.

Currently MR Factory is focused on developing virtual production technology to address daily series with studios and facilities available in Madrid, Jakarta, Johannesburg, Mumbai and Kuala Lumpur.
