In this presentation, we will review the visual effects of the hit Netflix series 'Bridgerton', created by the London and Paris-based company One Of Us. During the first two seasons, VFX Supervisor Victor Tomi and his team worked on approximately 600 shots, including full CGI environments, set extensions, animation of various animals, digital crowds and much more.
The series, one of the most watched on the streaming platform, reimagines the world of London high society in the 1800s. In the first season, our goal was to follow the aesthetic lines set in pre-production and filming. In season two, we had the opportunity to elevate that work both technically and creatively, and introduce new elements as well.
While completing his MA in Digital Effects at the National Film and Television School (UK), Victor joined the 'One of Us' team for the first time in 2011, as a junior composer. After working intermittently on various projects, he has been with the studio permanently since 2014, developing his creative and technical skills with each project. His first lead roles were on Disney's 'A Wrinkle in Time', and Dome Karukoski's 'Tolkien'.
He then supervised the 2D team on the third season of Netflix's 'The Crown'. Most recently he has been the visual effects supervisor on the first two seasons of the period series 'Bridgerton', a collaboration between Shondaland and Netflix.
