The use of tools that allow real-time rendering of sets and characters is becoming more and more widespread in the pipelines of VFX studios. In this talk we will show and analyse in detail a few projects in which El Ranchito has been able to collaborate.

From making virtual backgrounds that allow shooting shots of a series anywhere in the world without the need for post compositing, to recreating a football stadium full of fans live, to shooting an advertising spot in which we can preview the actors in a background that is rendered in real time, among others.

Virtual Production is here to stay and we will explain why, its advantages and disadvantages. In a very visual presentation and with real examples of the productions in which we have been involved.

As Head of VFX Supervisor, some of the tasks Manuel is responsible for are finding efficient ways of working developing FX assets and workflows when and where needed, evaluating tasks, reviewing shots and managing the day-to-day needs and debts of the Fx department and ensuring deadlines are met by communicating risks and challenges to the production team and other supervisors.

Manuel has numerous nominations and awards for his work at El Ranchito, including 2 VES Awards for Game of Thrones SE07, EMMY nomination for Lost in Space SE01, as well as a Goya award.

He has worked on numerous productions such as The Mandalorian, Game of Thrones, Lost in Space, Monster Calls or The First, among many others.
