Juan Cañada is the Director of Graphics Engineering at Epic Games, where he leads the graphics development in the Unreal Engine engineering team.

Juan has been passionately working on computer graphics for more than 20 years where he filled different roles, from programmer to lead engineer or executive. After leading the Maxwell Render team at Next Limit Technologies for more than a decade he moved to the US to join Epic Games and lead the graphics efforts for UE.

His team is working on next generation graphics technology such as Nanite, Lumen, TSR or Real Time Ray Tracing.
